finding faith

Ok so lets be honest: I've read very little in my book. (Fahrenheit 451) but from what i've read i would say that the citizens seem to have quit a bit of faith in their government. they dont seem to do alot of questioning. they just do what is told. they dont think for themselves think. well, except for the new neighbor girl. i think this will bring in alot of conflict in with faith. perhaps.

Radhika, I've read this book before, so I've a different idea, concerning the lack of questioning of the Government. My idea is that, while faith may have something to do with the people not questioning their leaders' decisions, the lack of knowledge, new ideas, reading books may play a larger role, as may the fact that these people do not seem to think for themselves, hardly at all. What is your opinion?

I am reading this book also. I dont think these people are smart enough to think for themsleves, they only know what they are told. They really must have faith in their government to not question them. The girl next door seems to ask a lot of questions but none in the direction of why dont they want us to know this or that? She is a more independent thinker then everyone else. I like her. I hope you enjoy the book.
